Florilège Vocal de Tours 2013
Poznan Chamber Choir is the only Polish ensemble to take part in the 42nd edition of the prestigious competition Florilège Vocal de Tours in France. The choir will compete with participants from Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Norway, Sweden, the United States of America, the Philippines and Puerto Rico.

Lux Aeterna - 70th birthday of Morten Lauridsen
London, Cambridge, Copenhagen, Johannesburg, Dallas, Cardiff and...
Poznań, being the only city in Poland that will join the world's 70th birthday celebration of Morten Lauridsen, a prominent American composer whose extraordinary works fill with delight both the listeners and the critics at all latitudes.
On the 2nd March at 7 p.m. the choir will perform the mistical Lux Aeterna - one of the most famous works of Morten Lauridsen, and one hour after the concert a special screening of a movie Shining Night. A Portait of Composer Morten Lauridsen. (2012) will take place.

Radziwiłł's Faust will resound after years!
During the inauguration of the VIIth Oratorio Music Festival Musica Sacromontana Poznan Chamber Choir will peform Faust, composed by Prince Antoni Radziwiłł to Johann Wolgang von Goethe's drama, with Lower Silesia Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Marcin Nałęcz - Niesiołowski. The world premiere of the composition took place in Berlin in 1835, a few years after Radziwiłł and Goethe's death. It is worth mentioning that Radziwiłł's Faust was the first musical adaptation of the famous drama in history.Details | Festival website | See the poster

The premiere of the latest album
On June 23, 2012, during the concert commemorating the 500th anniversary of the recognition of miracles at the Holy Mountain, the presentation of the latest album Musica Sacromontana was held. At the end of the season...
Listen to the last two concerts in the 2011/2012 season. On 16th June Poznan Chamber Choir will perform a concert in Saint Andrew Bobola Church in Poznań. The concert shall feature the works of Tallis, Nowowiejski and Koszewski. A week later, along with the ensemble Kapela Świętogórska and brilliant soloists, the choir shall celebrate the 500th anniversary of the recognition of the wonders on Święta Góra near Gostyń.The admission to both concerts is free.

Another concert with Concerto Köln
After incredibly successful concerts in Poznan and during XXIst Mikołowskie Dni Muzyki in May 2011, Concerto Köln invited Poznan Chamber Choir to Cologne (Germany). The concert held on April 15, 2012, co-organized by Adam Mickiewicz Institute, featured Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki's Completorium and Conductus funebris; one of Three Pieces in the Olden Style and Benedictus for a female choir a cappella by Krzysztof Penderecki.16/04/2012
Messiah 1742 - Dublin version

On April 13, 2012, the 270th anniversary of the premiere performance of G.F. Handel's Messiah oratorio,
Poznan Chamber Choir presented to music lovers the extremely rarely performed Dublin version of the masterpiece.
The ensemble was accompanied by Irish Baroque Orchestra from Dublin, and the whole was conducted by Bartosz Michałowski.

G. F. Handel's Messiah 1742 Dublin version
Bartosz Michalowski's Poznan Chamber Choir has once more prepared a surprise for the lovers of Early music.On April 13, 2012 Poznan citizens will witness an extraordinary event. Precisely, on the 270th anniversary of the first performance of the famous G. F. Handel's Messiah oratorio (Dublin, April 13, 1742), the piece will be peformed in Poznan in the original - Dublin version. Undoubtedly, it is the most rarely performed version of the oratorio.
Upon the invitation of Poznan Chamber Choir, Irish Baroque Orchestra (artistic director - Monica Hugget), playing the instruments from the epoch, will visit the capital of the Greater Poland. Both ensembles will be accompanied by eminent Polish soloists conducted by Bartosz Michalowski.
Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki, the Honorary Consul of Ireland and Irish Culture Foundation have taken the patronage over this event.

Spring with Gorczycki
In March and April, Poznan Chamber Choir will perform again the compositions by G. G. Gorczycki and other Polish Baroque composers. A concert of Polish early music will be held at one of the historic churches in Poznan in the first half of March, while on April 15,2012 Poznan Chamber Choir will perform again with the world famous orchestra, Concerto Köln. The programme of the concert in Cologne (Germany) will feature Completorium and Conductus funebris by Grzegorz Gerwazy Gorczycki. Rapturous applause at SHMF
The performance of Poznan Chamber Choir at one of the most prestigious festivals in Europe - Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival - was rewarded with a long standing ovation!This unusual for the festival form of appreciation was also reflected in the interest in the choir's recordings. In the course of only 20 minutes after the end of the concert, the choir sold 70 albums of Anima aetheris!
The programme of the concert included choral a cappela music by, among many others, P. Łukaszewski, M. Lauridsen, A. Koszewski, F. Nowowiejski, S. Wiechowicz and K. M. Prosnak.

Neuchâtel: 1st Prize and the Audience Award
Poznan Chamber Choir won the 1st PRIZE at the 13th International Choral Festival in Neuchâtel (Switzerland). Furthermore the jury unanimously decided that the choir performed the unrivalled rendition of an obligatory piece "O Crux" by Knut Nystedt.The audience that attended the auditions and the additional concerts also expressed their appreciation of the Poznan Chamber Choir and awarded the choir the AUDIENCE AWARD.
The competition that took place from 7 to 11 July 2010 gathered choirs from Armenia, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.
